SMR Fitness Jewellery Quarter
SMR fitness has really shaken up the gym scene in Birmingham. Its boutique gym offers everything from PT sessions to the coolest new exercise classes. They have pre-recorded workouts for you to enjoy on their Instagram and Facebook channels, and are still doing 1-2-1 PT sessions over Zoom – meaning there are no excuses to miss your lesson.
Virgin Active is one of Birmingham's most luxurious gyms, and they are still ensuring that they continue to keep their members fit and healthy through the lockdown. Members can log in and enjoy fitness tips, a place to ask trainers questions as well as workouts uploaded daily. Even if you are not a member, you can enjoy their free workouts on their Instagram page.
Bannatyne Health Club
Set up by Duncan Bannatyne of Dragons Den fame, there are five branches in Birmingham and surrounding areas. The Birmingham Bannatyne gyms are best known for their swimming pools and hydrotherapy spas, and although they can't bring that to your front room, they are bringing some of their best workouts. Head to their Facebook daily at 10 am to join in.
The uber-luxury London based fitness studio has rolled out a plethora of classes on its paid platform. If you love boxing, then head over to the KOBOX Instagram page for their daily live classes. The 28-minute workouts start at low intensity and work up to high intensity, all guided by expert PT Kayla. They are super easy to follow, and you can join a whole community of people on the same plan to give each other encouragement.
