Whether you are a Scandi lover or are hunting for that one of a kind piece to finish your collection, we have searched the four corners of the city and have compiled a guide of Birmingham's best homeware and design stores. The Workshop Below is the place to go if you are looking for a little bit of light in your life. But this place is so much more than a light shop, it feels more like a modern art gallery. Bespoke fairground style light up letters or ceiling lights made from recycled piping these lights can transform any space to feel like a new york style loft. You can even book an appointment with one of their team, and they will design you a completely bespoke lighting piece. Your imagination is the limit!


This one is not actually a shop but a high-end interior design firm. Book an appointment with managing director Dawn Kitchener and let her and the team create a bespoke plan on how to reinvent your space entirely. The team can help you bring together some finishing touches to put your stamp on it, or a complete revamp the Blocc team's impeccable style and a wealth of knowledge and experience are ready to create the perfect look.

Kin Home

This Scandi inspired boutique located on Saint Mary's Row is the place to visit if you are a real design buff. Owner Lewis Jenkins has curated their beautiful collection, wanting to bring his love for design-led products to Birmingham. If you are looking for something bang on-trend then head to Kin Home. It's a sensory sensation, they specialise in hand-made products y homeware, lovely gifts, stationery and they also offer a personal shopping experience! One of their most popular collections is the Studio Arhoj ceramics. These quirky designed ceramics are all hand thrown and cast from their studio in Denmark, take a look online now and pick your favourite!


Minima is located in the heart of Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter just around the corner from St Paul's Square. It is a contemporary homeware boutique that has pure creativity behind it. The beautiful space is full of timeless modern furniture pieces as well as all the things you would need to decorate your home. This is the place to go if you want to transform your space, it is minimal but beautiful with some of the best designers from Artek to Vitra on show. Minima is the ideal spot to deck your living spaces out with quality pieces that will stand the test of time, including a carefully curated offering of mirrors, bathroom homewares, candles and more. The showroom puts up-and-coming talents alongside established designers and has a number of standout items (take a look at their lamps in particular)! The perfect place to make your home your sanctuary.

Vincent Van Doodle

Vincent Van Doodle, (can we take a minute to appreciate the name) is located on Commercial Street. Just a stones through away from the Mailbox you will find this quirky art and homeware store. All items sold are designed and hand made by the Vincent Van Doodle team on-site meaning they have one of the best selections of original items to furnish your home. Their pieces are inspired by some iconic faces throughout history, looking for a bowl with Einstein face on? Or an A2 print out of Martin Luther King then here is the place to go. From wallpaper to funky cushions it is a treasure trove of amazing pieces. Some of the best are for the kids with a magical selection of children's bedroom pieces to inspire. From Einstein, to Darwin to Spongebob Squarepants all the greats can be found in some way or another. A wonderful shop full to bursting with beautiful pieces for your home or an extra special gift!
