With new spots opening seemingly every week, there is always somewhere new to sit back and watch the world go by.

20 Stories

Located in No.1 Spinningfields you will find the beautiful 20 Stories. This unique venue has a sprawling terrace overlooking the urban metropolis directly underneath, out to the rolling hills of Peak District beyond. The bar and restaurant are buzzing all year round, with a terrace fitted with fire pits and igloos to keep warm in the winter and trees to shade under in the summertime. Just like residents of AXIS, those visiting 20 Stories can enjoy unparalleled views of Manchester and definitely shouldn’t be missed.

One of Manchester’s coolest new spaces, YES’s rooftop is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and take in the hustle and bustle of being in the epicentre of the city. This industrial rooftop sits on top of what was a former auction house - serving up not only a varied selection of drinks, but delicious food from the uber-hip Firebird Hope and Pepperoni Playboy. Even better, after enjoying the views you can head down and listen to an amazing mix of live music in their gig space below.

El Gato Negro

El Gato Negro a quirky, authentic Spanish restaurant, is nestled on King Street. This place has an incredible retracting roof, making it one of the best places to enjoy sangria while looking out over the city. Not only has it got one of the best rooftops in town, but their incredible mix of delicious tapas dishes and extensive wine list means once you get a seat you may never want to leave. Our top tip - make sure you book. Once a locally kept secret, this place is a firm favourite of people living in the city as well as the ever-growing number of tourists visiting Manchester every day.

The Ivy Spiningfields

The place to be seen in Manchester and a great place for a bit of celeb spotting. Once you head up to the Ivy’s rooftop it’s not hard to see why the place is booked up months in advance. It’s not the highest bar, but its incredible decoration and interiors make it the perfect place to look out over Spinningfields and watch the world go by.

King Street Townhouse

Probably one of the most Instagram-able views of the city belongs to King Street Townhouse. From the old gothic architecture of the Town Hall, to the cool and sharp design of the city's every growing number of skyscrapers, the view from King Street Townhouse has something for everyone. What's more, the beautiful south-facing rooftop boasts not just a cocktail bar, but also an incredible infinity pool. Day or night the view from this place is one to tick off the list.

Club Brass at Hotel Gotham

This members-only space makes you feel like you have just walked into a 1920s speakeasy. The vibe is super relaxed, and the views are amazing, especially at night time when the city is glittering around you. The extensive cocktail menu has something for everyone, and the bar oozes opulence perfect for a special occasion.

Cloud 23, Manchester’s original bar with a view, sits proudly on the 23rd floor of Manchester’s original skyscraper Beetham Tower.
