Barry's Bootcamp

One of the most talked-about fitness revolutions in recent years, with a loyal following from LA to London, Barry's bootcamp has firmly found its place in Manchester. This class is not for the faint-hearted, with a mix of 25 minutes cardio with 25 weights - it is an extremely high-intensity interval training class, promising to burn 1000 calories per class and really push you to your limits. With the best instructors and top of the range facilities you will start to get addicted to their specially made ‘red room’. BLOK, located in the beautiful Ducie Street Warehouse, is all everyone on the Manchester fitness scene is talking about. They have a range of incredible classes from boxing to barre, but one of the coolest is their Calisthenics. The strength-based workout requires you to use your body weight to create unique and challenging workouts. In BLOK's Calisthenics classes, you'll develop incredible upper body strength and endurance, learn how to control your body in impressive ways and build core strength that could rival a gymnast.

This purpose-built northern quarter gym knows how important music is to take your workout to the next level. At V1BE they have a live DJ playing live in every session. The boutique gym looks so fresh it could easily be mistaken for a new hip bar. STR1KE is the perfect class for working on your cardiovascular, muscular endurance, mixing treadmill runs with boxing intervals and resistance circuits; this one will keep you burning calories for the rest of the day.

This Oldham street gyms classes are a favourite of the city centre dwellers. The classes here are limited to 14 people max so you can feel you get the instructors personal attention. Their HIIT classes is the standout class and most loved by their clients. Designed to really torch body fat, these 30-minute classes use a mix of circuits, equipment as well as body weight mixing up timings to archive the best results. All classes are aided with UV lighting and a techno or rap soundtrack to ramp up the class.
