Enjoy the tropics

The beautiful 200-year-old Botanical Gardens, located in Edgbaston, is an exotic world of tropical plant life. It makes for the perfect afternoon out in the sunshine with family or friends. Explore the four spectacular glasshouses filled with exotic flora and fauna before settling down for a coffee and cake in the pavilion tea room.

Take in some culture

The Ikon Contemporary Gallery is always packed with an incredible world-class mix of art installations and exhibitions. With free entrance this is the perfect place to while away the afternoon.


Brunching is now a weekend staple, but now doesn’t have to stop at 11 am – head down to Boston Tea Party where brunch runs all day. Try the sourdough and avocado or go for their delicious full English to keep you going for the rest of the day!

The custard factory located right in the centre of the city offers some of the best of Birmingham culture, creative and digital scene.
