Nothing makes you feel better than having smashed out a workout before your colleagues have even got out of bed. Manchester fitness offerings are booming with so many to choose from. Take a look at some of our favourite ways to get the adrenaline pumping each morning.

Strength training is a fundamental part of any workout programme; it helps ensure a healthy balanced body, supporting joints and promoting weight loss. BLOKstrength focuses on a range of strengthening and toning exercises which work to make you stronger, fitter and leaner while developing your balance, coordination and posture. These moves help you gain strength, and great posture for a long days graft. The luxury showers and juice bar help as well!

  • Time: 7:00 am

It doesn't have to be all high-intensity training before work, find a bit of time for yourself at one The Life Centre morning yoga classes. We recommend the 7am Hot 60 Classic. The class includes sun salutations with an emphasis on connecting the breath with movement during the standing sequence—a beautiful way to start the day.

  • Class: Cross Fit Functional Training
  • Time: 6:30 am

Cross fit is a worldwide fitness phenomenon; the varied functional movement training is all performed at a high-intensity, ensuring a full-body workout. Using ropes, free weights and body weight in a large warehouse lock up with everyone moving around in circuits. The best thing about this class (even though it is a gruelling workout) is the community the cross fit families build, creating a common ideal and a fantastic camaraderie. You will feel like a marine walking into the office afterwards!

If you want to exercise outdoors but prefer the discipline of a gym class, British Military Fitness run regular fitness sessions in Heaton Park. Military-trained instructors lead all sessions, and everyone is welcome, from exercise rookies to fitness veterans, come rain or shine. Take the workout to mother nature and feel like Bear Grylls.

There is no doubt nowadays that mixing cardio and weights can be the best way to get fit, and the guys at V1be couldn't agree more with their 6:15 am class IGN1TE FULL BODY & CORE. Think you can handle the heat, step inside the room and let V1be team challenge you. This full-body workout combines running to a distance on the treads combined with strength and bodyweight exercises that will intensify your treadmill session and challenge you across mixed training zones. Not for the faint-hearted but you will guaranteed feel like Arnold Schwarzenegger afterwards.
